Following ongoing PR success for the growing plant-based seafood brand in the US, Sharp was tapped to drive awareness for Good Catch's first retail launch in the Canadian market. The brand was planning to launch its frozen line of appetizers and entrees in partnership with Loblaws, Canada’s largest retailer.
With Canada being a new priority market for the brand, Sharp created a thoughtful and strategic PR approach to penetrate the market through brand introduction, product announcement and mission-driven commitments to gain the Canadian flexitarian consumer. Sharp conducted targeted outreach to both Canadian and select U.S. business and trade outlets, landing a syndicated piece on The Toronto Sun and placements in Grocery Business Canada, Food in Canada, VegNews and more. In total, Sharp’s efforts garnered almost 100 placements reaching almost 4 million impressions. Since the launch, Good Catch has rapidly expanded its distribution in Canada, bringing several more products to the market include its Plant-Based Tuna and Breaded Line of of innovative Plant-Based Breaded Fish Sticks, Plant-Based Breaded Fish Fillets and Plant-Based Breaded Crab Cakes.
