While there’s nothing like the holidays in NYC, the cold winter season also stirs up ideas of travel to sunny skies and sandy beaches.
With the goal of promoting The Palm Beaches, Florida, as the ultimate tropical destination and cultural getaway, Sharp supported the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County, along with its sister organization, Discover The Palm Beaches, to produce a truly remarkable installation in NYC.
The team enlisted the support of Mounts Botanical Garden and floral artist Lisa Waud to create an artistic take on picturesque lifeguard stands that dot the 47 miles of beaches. The installation, which featured hundreds of tropical botanicals, was on display at The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards, a high-traffic destination and draw for holiday shoppers in early December.
As part of the week-long installation, visitors could enter-to-win roundtrip airfare to The Palm Beaches, plus a one-year membership to Mounts Botanical Garden.
To generate further awareness and engagement, Sharp invited media and influencers to a cocktail event to preview the installation, as well as learn more about the upcoming arts & culture season in The Palm Beaches.
The results are as bright as a tropical paradise: 20 media and influencers attended, including standouts Conde Nast Traveler, Town & Country, Thrillist, Cosmopolitan, and Passport Magazine. What’s more, the event generated more than 800,000 social impressions.
